My body trembles and tears well up in my eyes.. as we are here just days, just moments before the most awesome days .
As I stand ready to release this exquisite melody fit to the first of the petitionary prayers of Yom Kippur eve..
Melodies as this one do not come around often. I feel as if now is the time that heaven deemed worthy for such a soul-stirring melody to come down to this world. I feel that The Almighty is turning toward us, toward our cries, our pain, and tears. He is telling us not to worry, for the time is fast approaching in which I will take you with outstretched arms and bring you home to Me.
Yaale Minuseinu, may we find refuge in Your open arms, Veyavo Ve’udeinu , let us join together in your embrace and endless light Amen..

May this be a tribute and aliya to the soul of my beloved teacher Cantor Sherwood Goffin ז”ל
An exemplary mentch, תוכו כברו his inner light was as true as his outer light. He taught us to be true in davening, nusach and in song. I know he would have enjoyed this melody.
I would also like to dedicate this song to Rav Shlomo Gissinger תנצב”ה. Such a benevolent and caring individual he was as great a friend to people of all types and backgrounds as he was a great posek. He really loved my melodies and would have loved to hear this one.
Perhaps they will both be joining the angels in heaven in singing this on the eve of Yom Kippur..
