There’s a מצות עשה of ״זכור את אשר עשה לך עמלק בדרך בצאתכם ממצרים (דברים כה, י״ז)״ to always remember the vicious attack of עמלק while קלל ישראל were leaving מצרים. The lyrics of this song are taken from the יוצרות for פרשת זכור where we cry out to Hashem with that very same word ״זכור״ to remember our suffering in גלות and bring the final גאולה with the arrival of משיח!
