Meir Martin Widerker presents: “Yehi Hachodesh” performed by Shmuel Barzilai and arranged by Menachem Bristowski
Composer Meir Martin Widerker introduces you to the Rosh Chodesh atmosphere and presents the tenth track from his fifth album in the ‘Shabbat HaMalka’ album series, this time hosting Cantor Shmuel Barzilai in a unique and tight performance.
In the last 5 years, Meir Martin Widerker has composed dozens of songs, including the well-known ‘Corona Song’ whose lyrics and melody Widerker wrote himself, and another 50 (!) Shabbat songs that have been released on 5 albums with most of the songs also coming out as a music video.
This special performance by Cantor Shmuel Barzilai who is the chief cantor of the Jewish community in Vienna Austria, joins the first track on the fifth album – “Ashira LaHashem Bechayai” – performed by cantor and singer Avremi Roth, and the second track on the album – “Seu Sheorim” – which hosted cantor and singer Yossi Schwartz, and the third track – “Yosef Hashem” song by cantor Chaim Gantz.
The excellent vocal harmony is complemented by the Yedidim International choir conducted by Yaakov Rotblatt.
