After two years since the success of his debut album Yachid Bemelucha, Yissachar Dror is back with his highly anticipated second album, Kodesh La’Hashem.
This new album marks a significant evolution in Dror’s musical journey, showcasing his growth as an artist and his ability to deeply connect with listeners. The album features a stunning blend of musical styles—from spoken word Hebrew and English songs to Chassidic, kumzitz, and modern Israeli influences.
The title track, “Kodesh La’Hashem“, penned by Yissachar himself captures the purity and strength that define the essence of this album. With a message of holiness and devotion to Hashem, the track sets the tone for the entire project. Dror speaks openly about how the album’s seamless creation feels like a miracle, reflecting his deep understanding of Hashem’s guidance and hashgacha pratit, which shaped every step of the process.
David Ichilevich, a renowned musical genius, composed many of the songs and produced 5 Tracks on the album alongside Yissachar Dror. Ichilevich, widely respected for his work as the pianist and musical arranger for Ishay Ribo, played a pivotal role in shaping the sound and vision of the album.
Additionally, Ichilevich is featured as a guest artist on Track 5, “The Final Tear“, a deeply emotional song composed by Ichilevich himself, where his contribution brings an added layer of depth and soul.
Among the standout tracks, “What An Honor to Be a Jew” serves as an anthem of pride and resilience. In today’s challenging times, this song serves as a powerful reminder that, despite the struggles, Jews stand strong and proud. The track radiates strength, unity, and an inspiring tribute to Jewish pride and perseverance.
This song was composed and the lyrics were written by Yissachar Dror‘s brother, Shmuel Dror, who also composed two other tracks and wrote the lyrics for them, adding his unique artistry to the album.
Passionate, powerful, and full of hope, this album is one that music lovers everywhere will not want to miss.
